Azoth Digital Accountants is looking for a dynamic and growth driven Accountant to support our rapid ongoing strategic expansion.

You will be responsible for completing and submitting the Accounts and Company tax returns for our clients as well as supporting our team with your expert accountancy knowledge.

You will be the key contact for clients, dealing with initial information requests, reviewing stat accounts and tax with the clients (prepared by our team), and managing day-to-day queries. You will work with the Accounts Manager to take full ownership of the Client Portfolio, ensuring clients receive excellent service.

Remuneration / Benefits

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch
• Salary dependent on experience.
• 25 days per year pro rata
• Option to join company private medical scheme

• Part Qualified / Qualified accountant or similar experience-based qualification.
• Proven knowledge of key processes for full accounting function including preparing annual accounts, and understanding of accounting entries
• Expert ability with MS Excel. Excellent IT ability, including use of MS Work & MS Outlook
• Previous use of Xero or similar software.

Key Responsibilities / Description of Duties

• Complete statutory accounts submission and company tax returns from trial balance, including review of underlying detail and compliance checking.
• Assist in review and tax structuring of clients to add value to support being provided.
• Liaise with clients direct to ensure all information is correct and all items have been discussed to enable timely submission of accounts.
• Development of client relationships to ensure clients feel they are getting exemplary service in line with Azoth values.
• Posting of year end journals to ensure clients accounts are up to date following year end completion.
• Ensuring all work is billed accurately and on time.
• Any other task as and when required to assist the client journey.
